Phoenix Athletic Club is based in the suburb of Upper Riccarton in Christchurch, New Zealand. Established in 2006, Phoenix provides coaching, equipment and facilities for track and field over the summer season (mid-October to end of March). Club members range from junior (7 - 14 years of age) through to senior-level athletics, both male and female athletes. Club numbers are strongest through the intermediate (ages 10-14) and senior (ages 15 up to early-twenties). We are developing a strong group of masters athletes and parents are welcome to join in. We endeavour to focus on a high calibre of coaching and as a result the Phoenix Athletic Club tends to have a maximum of 40 active registered athletes across the calendar year. Our strong focus on families and a supportive culture among our training groups means we always have space for younger family members wanting to join their older siblings when they get older. Phoenix Athletic Club is a not for profit organisation and takes great pride in the services it provides to the sporting community it is part of, the spirit of participation and respect it encourages in all its members, and its competitive success at both regional and national level in its short history.
